Soho Job Trial

Accountable for the quality, consistency and production of the specialty restaurant kitchen, Japanese Chef will be responsible for meeting food and labor cost targets for the kitchen. Creates and document new menu items, manages and kitchen staff, maintains quality control, and manages inventory and purchasing. Works with team to improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. Develops and trains team to improve results.

Duties & Responsabilities

 

  • Develop and implement menus for the restaurant.
  • Schedules and coordinates the work of kitchen staff to assure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals.
  • Approves the requisition of products and other necessary food supplies.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Ability to interact positively with management, supervisor, staff, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
